Ugly Love Official Teaser
Yeah so I know that the “book news” I post these days aren’t exactly what you could call “up to date”, but since I sort of went back to living at the Stone Age (which means without the internet) for the past six months, I’m only now coming back to civilization and well, I’m finding out about loads of stuff that happened months ago.
Like the Ugly Love teaser which was released last May and that I’m only now finding out about 😦
Anyhow, this book was amazing (that’s pretty much a given when it’s written by Colleen Hoover) and I had a huge book hangover when I finished it. I was so excited to know it was going to be made into a movie, so finally seeing the first teaser was kind of huge.
It doesn’t reveal much about the story, except that things are quite steamy between Archer and Tate and that it’s not a lovey dovey, pink-tinted-glasses kind of love story. But I’m talking (writing?) too much, so without further ado, here’s the teaser!
There is probably no point in posting it now because if you’re as crazy about books as I am you’ve probably already seen this video by now, but I guess it never hurts and that maybe I wasn’t the only one out there who had to live under a rock for some time.
Plus I’m just crazy about this book and this author and I’m all excited now that I’ve seen the trailer for Ugly Love 🙂 I hope we’ll have more teasers or an actual trailer soon and hopefully a release date, but right now, I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping that they don’t ruin one of my favorite stories by making it into a movie.
Ps: can I just say that the uniform definitely works for Nick Bateman here…Anyway, I’m off to find myself a bucket of iced water…

Good Deeds, Great Reads
Okay, so I’m not sure if what I’m about to write about is what you could call “Hot Right Now” because it’s probably has been out for some time now but I’m completely fan-girling over this, so of course I have got to spread the word about it, because it is soooooo awesome and I was so excited when I found out about it I almost wet my pants (sorry for the TMI-ing guys).
So last month, completely by accident, I found out about The Bookworm Box. Now, you’re probably wondering what is The Bookworm Box. Well, let me tell you all about it!
Basically, The Bookworm Box, is a concept that was thought by our dear author Colleen Hoover as a way to “pay back” for all the support she has had from her readers. With the help of many other authors (there’re about 28 of them) who have donated their books (and /or their time), they make sure that each box has two signed novels in them as well as swag.
But the best part is that the proceeds of each box is then donated to charity. So by getting yourself a box, you get books of course but you also do something good. It’s the best way to give back and to receive at the same time.
If this is something that you’d be interested in buying for yourself or to offer you can click here to order a box.
You can also click here if you’re curious like me and would like to know more than the brief description I gave you about The Bookworm Box and go check out the website, which gives you much more details than me about the box itself, but also about the charity, how to donate if you’re interested and about the people behind the boxes (and is very well done if you ask me).
Hope you enjoy it as much as I will!

And if you are wondering what the story is about, I’m putting the synopsis below for you to read my lovelies!
GYPSY BROTHERS SYNOPSIS
My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.
Including my innocence.
When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.
Before my father died, Dornan and his sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.
I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I’m out for revenge.
But I didn’t expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.
I didn’t expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.
Now, I’m faced with an impossible choice – Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

Captured Release & Giveaway
Hi my Lovelies!
As you may or may not know, the sequel to Wounded by Jasinda Wilder, Captured is now released and available for purchase.
I posted my review of the book yesterday on the blog for you to read, but I thought I would drive the point home today on how great this story is and that you would be missing out if you don’t read it.
I have to admit, when I first started reading the book, I wasn’t really sure what I was getting myself into. The synopsis of the book gives the essentials about the story but after reading it, you still don’t have a very clear idea what you are in for. So I get that this might make some of you skittish about giving Captured a chance. I know if it weren’t for the author, that I consider as a sure bet when it come to books (Seriously though, every time I see that the Wilder have released a new book, I usually bypass the synopsis and everything and go one-click that baby like a mad woman) and the fact that I loved Wounded, I might not have jumped on it.
But that’s why I’m writing this article today. Because Captured IS a must read and everyone should buy a copy of it.
Captured is probably Jack and Jasinda’s best work so far (they say so themselves). The story is compelling, it sucks you in from the start and never lets you go. You root for the characters almost from the moment you meet them and you relate so easily to what they are going through, even if you’ve never been in the situations the characters are in or if you are not in a military household. The story is intense and so very well written….I could go on and on for hours listing everything that is good about this book. I loved it instantly and am so glad the Wilder wrote this sequel because in even if I loved Wounded, Captured was even better.
So I’ll say it again one last time, if soldiers stories are something you like and you are not afraid of deeply emotional stories (as well as very very hot ones) then don’t waste anymore time and go get your copy of Captured. You won’t regret it.
You can also go on this link to enter a giveaway of a signed copy of Captured.

CJ Roberts and her Dark Duet
Know those covers?
If so, then you’ll be glad to know that as of last Friday, CJ Roberts has announced on her blog some great news about her serie The Dark Duet …………..
“THE MOMENT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR…SORT OF!
Okay, I leave for Book Bash in about 14 hours, but I have EPIC news. Today, I received the green light to release exclusive information on a project that’s been in the works for a couple months now. I won’t keep you in suspense. I wouldn’t do that, Not to my loyal and devoted readers, Who’ve stuck by me through the drama, OKAY, OKAY, I’ll get on with it!!! THE DARK DUET HAS BEEN OPTIONED FOR A TV SERIES!!!”
There are no reviews of The Dark Duet on my blog (and that’s a shame), but it’s only because at the time I read them, I was still useless and just read books and never wrote reviews of them. Nevertheless, you should definitely read those.
Here’s a bit of info about CJ Roberts followed by the synopsis of the books.
About The Author:
CJ Roberts is an independent writer. She favors dark and erotic stories with taboo twists and her work has been called both sexy and disturbing in the same sentence. She was born and raised in Southern California. Following high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force in 1998, served ten years and traveled the world. Her favorite part of traveling is seeking out the seedy underbelly of the city. She is married to an amazing and talented man who never stops impressing her; they have one beautiful daughter.
Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet #1):
Caleb is a man with a singular interest in revenge. Kidnapped as a young boy and sold into slavery by a power-hungry mobster, he has thought of nothing but vengeance. For twelve years he has immersed himself in the world of pleasure slaves searching for the one man he holds ultimately responsible. Finally, the architect of his suffering has emerged with a new identity, but not a new nature. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors and kidnap a beautiful girl to train her to be all that he once was.
Eighteen-year-old Olivia Ruiz has just woken up in a strange place. Blindfolded and bound, there is only a calm male voice to welcome her. His name is Caleb, though he demands to be called Master. Olivia is young, beautiful, naïve and willful to a fault. She has a dark sensuality that cannot be hidden or denied, though she tries to accomplish both. Although she is frightened by the strong, sadistic, and arrogant man who holds her prisoner, what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is her unwelcome attraction to him.
WARNING: This book contains very disturbing situations, dubious consent, strong language, and graphic violence.
Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet #2):
What is the price of redemption?
Rescued from sexual slavery by a mysterious Pakistani officer, Caleb carries the weight of a debt that must be paid in blood.
The road has been long and fraught with uncertainty, but for Caleb and Livvie, it’s all coming to an end.
Can he surrender the woman he loves for the sake of vengeance?
Or will he make the ultimate sacrifice?
It seemed to Caleb, the nature of human beings revolved around one empirical truth: we want what we cannot have. For Eve, it was the fruit of the forbidden tree. For Caleb, it was Livvie.
Epilogue: The Dark Duet (The Dark Duet #3):
I’m writing this because you begged. You know how I love the begging. In fact, you probably know too many things and know them far too well. Who am I? Well, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I was a whore in my youth, a killer since my adolescence, and a monster as a man. I am the man who kidnapped Livvie. I am the man who held her in a dark room for weeks. But, most importantly, I am the man she loves. She loves me. It’s quite sick, isn’t it? Of course, there’s more to our story than can be surmised in a few short sentences, but I’m at a loss for justifying my behavior back then. I assume if you’re reading this, I don’t need to make those justifications. You’ve already made your own. You’re reading this because you want to know about the rest of the story. You want to know what happened that warm summer night in September of 2010, the night I met Livvie at The Paseo. It was the night my life changed all over again. It didn’t happen exactly as Livvie said. She’s been very kind to me in the retelling of our story. The truth is far more…complicated.

News From Jasinda Wilder!
I have very good new for fans of Jasinda Wilder!
Today, she announced on Facebook that she was going to be releasing a whole lot of sequels!!!!
“It’s going to be a season of sequels for me for the rest of the year! CAPTURED (sequel to WOUNDED), BETA (sequel to ALPHA), TRASHED (sequel to STRIPPED), and FALLING AWAY (sequel to FALLING UNDER). Are we excited about these?”
Why yes we are! Some of these titles are a surprise, at least for me but I’m quite excited to know there will be follow ups on those stories that I really loved.
For those who haven’t read those books by Jasinda Wilder here are the links to their synopsis:
May 13th, 2014 –
So, there is not much about this author on my blog (which is a shame since I’ve read a lot of her work and that I loved everything she wrote so far) but it shouldn’t be an indication of her talent. Cora Carmack is very talented and writes stories that leave you with a good feeling. The added bonus is that her books are full of laughter and her characters make you fall in love with them without even trying.
So I thought it’d be good if I let you know that All Lined Up was released today for Kindle!!!
The thing is, I don’t really know much about this book, except that the story is set in Texas and it’s about football. Does it sound like Friday Night Lights to you too? *squeeee*
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Dallas Cole loathes football. That’s what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.
But life doesn’t always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.
Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It’s obliterated.
Dallas doesn’t know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn’t know that Dallas is his new coach’s daughter.
And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.
I for one, will go into this book a little blind (I stopped reading the blurb after Friday Night Lights was mentioned :D) but I don’t mind ’cause it’s not often that I’m disappointed by Cora’s work. I love books set in the South, you know, because of the accents and all so I was sold! Hope you are too!
Happy reading my dears!

Good News of the Week – Cover Reveal
Well I don’t know if you’ve read Alpha already, (if not, seriously? What are you waiting for?) but it is freaking good, and so, the following news is a very good one!
I am really happy with our dear Jasinda right now for dangling yet another carrot in front of her readers’ noses this week! Alpha hasn’t been released for more than a few weeks and already we have the promise of more to come with Beta!!!!
There are no release date or blurb as of yet BUT Jasinda gave us a cover to drool over in the meantime.
If you haven’t read Alpha yet, I highly recommend you do. I finished it tonight, and it took me more time that I would have liked, but only because I was traveling. My review of it will be coming soon!

Cover and Excerpt Reveal for Alpha
Oh My God this cover looks amazing. I cannot wait for this book to be out! April 29th needs be there already!
The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle. Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom’s hospital bills. My baby brother’s tuition. My tuition. Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders. And I had just lost my job. There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found. And then, just when I thought all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of ten thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just “VRI Inc.,” and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing…except a single word, on the notes line: “You.” Just those three letters.
If you receive a mysterious check, for enough money to erase all your worries, would you cash it?
The next month, I received another check, again from VRI Incorporated. It too contained a single word: “belong.”
A third check, the next month. This time, two words. Four letters. “To me.”
The checks kept coming. The notes stopped. Ten thousand dollars, every month. A girl gets used to that, real quick. It let me pay the bills without going into debt. Let me keep my baby brother in school and Mom’s hospice care paid for. How do you turn down what seems like free money, when you’re desperate? You don’t. I didn’t.
And then, after a year, there was a knock on my door. A sleek black limousine sat on the curb in front of my house. A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words: “It’s time to pay your debt.”
Would you have gotten in?
It turns out $120,000 doesn’t come free.
The excerpt from Falling Under was so great, I’m really looking forward to this book.I’m already addicted to those characters. It will be a standalone book and word is that this book is really different from Jasinda’s recent work.
Here you can find a video from Jasinda telling us a little bit more about Alpha.
And here’s the link to Vilmasbookblog where you can find a more lengthy excerpt from Alpha!

Maybe Someday Bonuses
So I haven’t read this book yet but I will. It’ll be my first book by Colleen Hoover and after all the good stuff I’ve read about her books, I’m kind of looking forward to it.
Another thing I’m looking forward to is the soundtrack that comes with the book. I just love when authors put music to their books.
So here’s the link toward the Maybe Someday soundtrack. You can also find the bonus epilogue there under Bonus Features.
As for the soundtrack, there’s a password to get to it, but if you’ve read the book, you’ll know it.

The Book Lover’s Journal
I just found out about this little journal/organizer and it looks A-MA-ZING!!! Here is the product description from amazon:
“Book lovers! Here is the reading journal you’ve always wanted. At last, a place to record the books you’ve read. Months and years from now, this journal will help you instantly recall long-forgotten details of your reading experience. This is also the place to record books you’d like to read next (take it with you to the bookstore or library). You’ll find pages to list books borrowed, lent, or given (even a place to list books you’d like to give), your book sources, and book group contact information, plus lists of acclaimed authors and titles to inspire future reading choices, and a section devoted to your reading life. Contents include:
- My Book Log: Pages Turned
- Books I’d Like to Read: My Reading Wish List
- My Books: Books Bought, Borrowed, Lent, and Given
- Book Group Info: Friends and Fellow Readers
- Acclaimed Authors and Books: Inspiration for Future Reading
- My Reading Life
- 216 pages”
I, for one, am sort of an old school girl when it comes to making list and stuff like that and even though computers are great, I do prefer to write down things on paper than to have them recorded on a Word document or an online list.
And right now, I’m in desperate need of one of those babies!
I hope this will make some of you happy

GOODREADS → Beautiful Oblivion
And we also have a blurb!!!!
The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.
Fiercely independent Camille “Cami” Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.
Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.
Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.
As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.
In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.
The book will be available starting July 1st BUT you can already pre-order it!
